Soooo… the intentions of having a post ready days in advance are real, I promise. But, then bam it’s Sunday aaaand nothing, nada, zilch. Although in exchange for a flawless, perfectly worded, superbly punctuated article I present to you a cleaned and reorganized pantry, three empty laundry baskets, and a nearly empty sink. (Because let’s be honest, is it ever truly empty?) Along with a new (and now) completed canvas!
Today has also brought the drying of coffee grounds, which means I will be making more coffee ground hand scrub in the near future; always exciting! It has also brought great company, and with great company comes great conversation. (I am truly blessed to have such wonderful people in my life.) The day has also been filled with board games, cooking, piano and laughter.
This day also led to a new recipe “A La’ Mama” so without further ado… Vegetarian Bean and Rice Patty! (DF/GF)
- Black beans
- Hemp seeds
- Brown rice, flax, kale and spinach mixture
- Gluten free oats
- 2 eggs
- Your favorite seasonings
- Sautee the onions, almonds and seasonings together
- Blend everything together in a food processor
- Shape into patties
- Eat and enjoy!
