Your neighbor’s garden salad!

Hello neighbor! (Pardon me while I change my shoes and sweater. Understandably, I simply could not resist the Mr. Rogers reference once I saw it…) This week I was inspired by the beautiful summer style salad *pictured above* that Mama made!

The salad was inspired (mostly) by the produce obtained by Michael and Kasey from our neighbor Miss Vicki’s lovely garden!

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory on Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4: 19

**Ingredients:

  • Armenian cucumbers
  • Mini sweet peppers
  • Red onion
  • Tomatoes
  • Basil
  • And the secret ingredient…
“I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Isreal, who summons you by name.” Isaiah 45: 3

**Directions:

  • Chop
  • Mix

This really works with just about any leftover veggies you have in the refrigerator. My favorite “style” is when the veggies are cut chunky and left in relatively big pieces.

But, get creative and make it how you like!

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15: 13

Thank you for joining me today, I hope you enjoyed this week’s recipe and I hope to see you Wednesday for “Wordy Wednesday!”

What is your favorite salad to make this time of year?

What did your “neighbor’s garden salad” look like?

Until next time; I pray your day, every day, is blessed.
