August Tortoise Concert Laundry

Hello, happy September! I don’t know about you… but, for me August flew by.

This week was no different…

That, my friend, is why this week “Sunday Funday” is coming to you on a Monday.

August was full of events and blessings. I am glad you’re here to join me as I reminisce on the main moments.

FIRST! I am so excited to share with you that my brother Kasey has uploaded the -> first episode <- of the vlog series that documents our recent vacation! I absolutely loved it and laughed so hard! I went on the “same exact trip” and it is amazing how much I missed/saw differently. It may seem long but, I think it’s definitely worth a view… or two…

“Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share,” 1 Timothy 6: 18

Next, our friends the Diggles came to visit! It was such a blessing and so very fun to see them and to be able to spend time fellowshiping with them. They held a concert at our house the night that we have our fellowship and it was a blast! We had a great turnout and they are so incredibly talented; I feel blessed to have the opportunity to hear them sing and play their lovely instruments. I can’t wait until the Lord crosses our paths again!

“So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5: 11

(Kasey made them a cool little promo in the middle of this video, HERE.)

Let’s see… Oh! The other day I cleaned my tortoises cage (I know, this is really the exciting content you come here for) and I noticed how big they’ve gotten! Look!

My “pet rocks.” Left to right: Goliath, Charley and Methuselah (a.k.a Thoosie)

They are just so cute I had to share…

The next fun thing that happened was that Daddy and Mama took me out to a concert. (They rotate us “bigs” and last Wednesday was my turn!)

“Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.” Proverbs 11: 14

We saw Clint Holmes; he and his band were absolutely amazing. It was such a fun show. Peanut-butter and jam packed with pure, raw talent.

Before the show we went to the entertainment office to pick up our tickets; thank you Mr. Dave!

I love hearing people’s stories. Hearing his mother and father’s story gave me goosebumps. His mother was a white, British, opera singer and his father was a black, jazz singer enlisted in the army and over in Europe during World War 2… I know

Probably my favorite picture that I took! This was during his “tap dancing” act; where he did sound effects that sound exactly like tap dancing!

I could have listened to him and his band all night. But, I am so grateful for the absolutely wonderful time I had.

After I got to pick where we ate, and, well… it’s me… sooo, I chose sushi

Yummy, yummy, yummy!

Then we came home got comfy and settled in with the “big guys” to watch a show and eat some ice cream.

If you read my post “A Breath” you may remember me mentioning a baby shower. Well… our family friend had her little boy! (Though, technically, that happened just a few days ago in sept.) He is so handsome and most importantly healthy. God is amazing…

It really makes you think about how precious life is.

I love the family God has blessed me with beyond words. The other day my laundry helpers and I were tackling Mt. Laundvrest and I saw a cool photo op.

So I took it!

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6: 9

I am so grateful to have siblings who are so ready and willing to help, not just me, but anyone, anytime. (Every single one of them.)

I hope that you enjoyed this week’s “Sunday Funday” …on a Monday. I hope you’ll join me for “Wordy Wednesday.” I will be sharing my new(ish)-born baby sitting adventure from a few weeks ago…

Until next time; I pray your day, every day, is blessed.
